Speaking of Cartoons

Christine had a similar experience to me when looking for DVDs of classic Chuck Jones cartoons. I looked around for a while and while there were a lot of cartoon compilations out there they had very uninformative names like Cartoon Crazys. The reviews of these are fairly mediocre, mentioning things like missing openings and endings for cartoons. It really is a shame that there aren't any well done collections out there. I can think of a number of people who would pay decent money for a complete Chuck Jones collection. Though I could imagine getting licensing for such a thing might be a nightmare.

On the other hand, Disney has done some amazing things with some of their classic toons. I especially like the look of the Silly Symphonies one. I may actually pick up two copies of this so I can send one down to my sister for my nephew when she gets a DVD player. Anyone at Warner Bros paying attention?

Christine was also nice enough to include a link to a petition to Warner Brothers to release Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies on DVD:
