In the stating the obvious department

Yet another stunning revalation from the New York Times this morning:

Use of Internet Is More Active at High Speed. People who use high-speed services to connect to the Internet from home have a much more active relationship with the online world than those who dial up. By Amy Harmon. [New York Times: Technology]

Um, well duh. Have you tried browsing over a dialup line lately? It's painful. Especially after having a high speed connection at home or work. The study I'd be more interested in seeing is how people use the net differently over broadband. I know that my usage patterns have varied a lot since I got it. I use the net for a lot of things I wouldn't have before because of the improved speed.
