Weekend Anime Thoughts

It's been a slow weekend as far as any DVD watching (I still haven't had time to sit down and play with the Special edition of Memento). But I was able to pick up the first volume of Excel Saga. Of course I had to watch it right away. ADV did a wonderful job with it. The show is as hysterical as always, but seeing it on TV with a clean transfer to DVD was so much nicer then seeing the DiVX version. They also have a feature with 'popup video' style notes explaining various Japanese cultural references.

While i was at Tokyo Kid I noticed they also ahd a copy of Miyuki-chan in Wonderland. Being a fan of CLAMP, and seeing that it was only $12 I figured what the hell. Watched that this weekend and really wish I could get a hold of whatever drugs they are on. Wonderland with a CLAMP spin. It's so wrong it must be right.
