I've been slowly working my way through RahXephon. It is definitely one of the more nicely animated shows that's been broadcast lately. On first glance it felt like just another Eva clone, but I think it's a better in lots of ways. The characters are likable (and less whiny then characters in Eva). The storyline also feels a little bit more cohesive, my one hope is that it has a better ending than Eva did. And, the soundtrack is amazing, one of the best I've heard since Noir. I've got it playing as I type this and it's just got this really funky kind of jazz feel to a lot of it. I can't wait to load it into my iPod.
I also just found out the same studio that produced this, Bones, was the studio that did Angelic Layer (mmmm CLAMP).
