New Yoshitoshi Abe anime!

TEXHNOLYZE

Seems like the same team as Lain.

Here's a site with information in English.

very little info is available on texnolyze on any of the official sites. I see now that this is totally done by design.

The creators seem to want you to find out what's going on only by watching the episodes yourself. Even the small amount of information they do let you know seems to me that it may be too much in the sense it gives away plot points which would have been cooler to see play out naturally in the episodes.

I like it.

Looks like Yoshitoshi Abe's part in this effort is character conception.

I can see so many influences of the creators in the first episode. The eyecatch robot arm pulls from the design of the Bjork music video "All Is Full of Love" directed by Chris Cunningham. Chiaki Konaka's interest in dolls. The theme of technology: are we controlling it or is it controlling us? which was also present in Lain.
